North High School Leadership Transition
by Principal Scott Wolf

I want to thank our incredible alumni for the support given to North High over the nine years that I have been at North and the last seven years I have served as principal.  As North exits its growth phase and enters its sustainability phase, I have decided that this year will be my last year as principal at North as I look to continue to have a positive impact on schools across Denver.  In my time leading North, many remarkable strides have been made as we have more than doubled our enrollment from 770 to 1616, we have renovated our cafeteria, gym, and athletic facilities, we have been recognized for our excellent instruction by being named a Teacher Training Academy for Denver Public Schools, we have been a national visitation site for Restorative Practices, and we have built a comprehensive high school program with robust athletics, enrichments, and electives from audio production to engineering.

Most importantly, 100% of our graduates continue to be accepted into post-secondary programs. This past year we had a four-year graduation rate of 92% with graduates going to schools across the country from Harvard to CSU to trade schools.  I have enjoyed every moment that I have been at North and this was made possible because of the love and support from the alumni community.

I look forward to seeing those of you who are able to join us for future alumni gatherings so that we can share stories about our experiences at North that have built such a long-lasting legacy.  North is and always has been an incredible school because of the people who have learned in the historic classrooms, hallways, and stairwells of North.  Just like each one of you, I will always be a Viking.
